Rosa Wild Trail 2026: a 28-hour plan and a 24-hour target

Two scenarios for 109.2 km and about 7,404 m of climbing from my GPX analysis. The supplied sheet contains no actual finish.

Two timelines, one route

Using GPX figures recorded in the workbook, I created a baseline of 28 hours 5 minutes and an ambitious 24-hour alternative. Both cover the same checkpoints with very different buffers.

Lessons from 2025

The long descent toward Monashka coincides with the area where I struggled to eat in 2025. The new plan pays special attention to drinking, energy intake and protecting the legs downhill.

A target is not a result

A 24-hour scenario only exists on paper unless supported by actual splits. No 2026 finish times are present in the workbook. This page describes preparation, not a completed result.

Key takeaways

A fast target is useful for decisions, but it must never be confused with a verified performance.
